Under the project name Sturmvogel, we developed our Z45-36. For the Sturmvogel we deviate from our usual nomenclature and do not use the inner width as the second digit (here 29mm), but instead the outer width – the width of the rim.

With 35.5mm at the bead and 37mm at the centre, the Z45-36 offers perfect performance for all gravel racers who can manage with a 35mm wide tyre at the front. Our calculations show an aerodynamic advantage of 3–8 watts compared to 30mm wide gravel rims of the same height.
